A superb location for those who enjoy peace and quiet away from other people. It's a five minute walk (or drive) away from Quinta do Rio Dão and all its facilities. The cottage stands within 5 ha. of land with various species of trees, facing the view of a lovely valley with a small stream. There are no other houses to see. The sitting room has an open fireplace and windows on three sides. Both sitting room and kitchen are situated on the first floor and open onto the wooden veranda from where you can occasionally spot a fox or a wild boar. The two sleeping rooms and the two bathrooms are situated on the ground floor, with the original granite walls.
The surrounding woodland of Casa da Abelenda offers a charming backdrop for afternoon strolls.
The guests of Casa da Abelenda, can make use of all the facilities of the quinta, like the free use of canoes, rowing boat and swimming pool, the possibility of renting mountain bikes, etc.
