Location: Conimbriga lies 16 km (10 miles) from Coimbra and less than 2 km (1¼ miles) from Condeixa-a-Nova
Getting there by car: Conimbriga is easily reached by car. If you first want to visit Coimbra, then go to Condeixa-a-Nova (by the En1,e.g., National Road n.1). After getting to Condeixa-a-Nova, you turn to the National Road n.342 and then just follow the sign-posts with the indication "Conimbriga".
If you want to go directly to Conímbriga first take the IP3 in direction Coimbra an then the A1 - highway in direction of Lisboa and exit at Condeixa-a-Nova. Then follow the sign-posts with the indication "Conimbriga".
Getting there by public transport: For those who do not have private transportation, first go by train to Coimbra. The firm AVIC MONDEGO maintains a bus service between Coimbra and Conimbriga, while there are several bus connections between Coimbra and Condeixa-a-Nova. From there one can either walk (2Km or 1.2Mi) or continue to Conimbriga by taxi.
